The Rentals are one of my favorite bands of all time. I grew up listening to them and Weezer. I mention Weezer only because The Rentals were Matt Sharp’s side project he left Weezer to focus on. They did this Tegan and Sara remix. I’m a big fan of it.
The Rentals are one of my favorites because I love all their keyboard/synth lines. Such impressive sounds and melodies. They inspired me to make music, I used to spend so much time learning all they keyboard part and singing along. Another band that comes to mind whom influenced me was Mates of State for the same reason.
